Nissan Has Developed Self-Cleaning Car

Technology is finding new ways to excel its features. One of the expert in car making companies, Nissan has reached another mile stone. It has unveiled a new prototype that could potentially do away with car washes on last Thursday.
The new model looked this way.

This self-cleaning property is possible with the help of special super-hydrophobic paint which is called Ultra-Ever Dry. This allows the cars to be extremely water and oil resistant. This resistance is possible by creating a protective layer of air between the paint and environment so that it effectively stops standing water and road spray from creating dirty marks on the car’s surface.
Research has been going on in the Nissan Technical Centre in Europe over the efficiency of this paint. Till now it has responded well to normal weather conditions, including sleet, frost, snow and standing water. Their engineers will continue testing the paint over the next few months. Nissan also has no plans to offer the paint as a standard feature but it is considering to offering as an aftermarket product.
The  below presents a video showing the self-cleaning action of paint.
